Located on Nashville’s famed Music Row, the design for Warner Music Nashville (WMN) and Warner Chappell Music’s (WCM) new spaces provide both businesses with independent brand identities and much-needed room for growth that will support their employees, artists, and writers.

Located on Nashville’s famed Music Row, Warner Music Nashville (WMN) and Warner Chappell Music (WCM), two subsidiaries of the global entertainment record label conglomerate Warner Music Group, were both in need of a refresh that would help separate and re-establish each with individual identities. The design for their new spaces provides both businesses with much-needed room for growth that will support their employees, artists, and writers.

The design concept for these projects symbolizes the journey of a song, celebrates the contributions of songwriters and musicians, and embraces the rich history of Nashville’s music industry.

Music Row has long been the vibrant center of the city’s legendary music industry, housing record label offices, radio stations, booking agencies, publishing companies, and recording studios. While many of these labels and agencies have since left Music Row for consolidated facilities throughout Nashville, it was important to Warner Music that these two divisions remain to celebrate the heritage of Nashville’s music industry in re-envisioned, state-of-the-art facilities.

The new space for WCM transforms a nondescript 80’s office building into a collection of spaces inspired by the historic bungalow homes traditionally housed by the Music Row Publishing Companies. The residential-like, relaxed, and intimate atmosphere includes deep green walls, coffered ceilings, and walnut wood millwork. The open-concept ground floor features a ‘Pub’ equipped for performances, meetings, or used as a listening room. Writer’s rooms and a lounge support artists, while offices, meeting spaces, and wellness rooms support employees.

The renovation of Warner Music Nashville creates a sophisticated space where artists’ dreams come true. The central double-height Performance Space, wrapped in black wood slat walls, serves as a versatile black box theatre for meetings, content capture, and special performances. Alongside a state-of-the-art recording studio, listening rooms, and artist lounges, it offers a dynamic environment for content creation, intimate performances, and artist meetings.
