A tenant improvement, treatment and drug development space for the world's leading cancer care specialists. The clinic is home to 10 open infusion bays, 4 private treatment rooms, and 4 exam rooms. Sarah Cannon is on a mission to cure cancer.
The new oncology drug development unit and treatment space is incorporated into an existing laboratory building on the UCF campus. Care was taken to capitalize on the building's exterior pond, fountain, and heavily landscaped courtyards with views from treatment spaces. The narrow building footprint allowed the design team focus on the amount and quality of natural light that penetrated the clinical unit.
Since the project is an oncology research and treatment space care was when selecting materials and finishes. All finishes were from the Mindful Material catalog.
The project built upon previous Sarah Cannon work to incorporate best practices for treatment and patient comfort all while maintaining the Sarah Cannon brand.
